Important Terms

Match

IveTime's main purpose is to show you friends that have time when you have. And who are interested into the same or similiar activities.

The results are visualized as a cards stack.

A card of that stack is called a match.

A match is only shown in case

Or you enabled the 'meet new people' feature as well as any other person within your preferred radius, time frame and specifying similar activities.

These 'new people' won't see your mobile number as well.

At the beginning - although you did not enable 'meet new people', sometimes, we suggest you new persons - who enabled the 'new people' feature - without showing your profile to them.

On a match we try to suggest both of you a suitable venue that fits to the preferred activity. This venue is supposed to be close to the mid point between both of you.

If you did not specify any preferred activity possibly we do suggest you one per match.

Single Activity

There is also a single activity. Here we suggest you an activity that can be done on your own. If we can, we also suggest you a suitable location where you can do this.

Furthermore it's only publicly visible in case you enabled the 'meet new people' feature.

Automatically obtained data by us

Used services

Push Notifications

We use Google Firebase (https://firebase.google.com/)

in order to send you push notifications or instance when you got a match or received a chat message.

Regarding a match your so called push id, a user name and an activity is sent to Google Firebase.

Regarding chat messages a push id is sent to Google Firebase, as well as the chat message itself and a sender's name.

Further information about handling user data, can be found in the data protection declaration https://www.firebase.com/terms/privacy-policy.html.

SendBird

In order to get in touch with the contact of a match, you can use IveTime's chat. Technically we're using SendBird (http://sendbird.com)

to exchange chat messages between users.

For this kind of communication it's necessary that we send SendBird a hash of your mobile number (i.e. they won't get the actual mobile number but a pseudonymed version of it), the name you entered in the app, your profile picture (in case you uploaded one or imported it via Facebook) and the push id of your device.

Further information about handling user data, can be found in the data protection declaration https://sendbird.com/privacy.

Anonymous usage data

By using IveTime you understand that we gather anonymous data just like your device or country for instance.

This is done by using Flurry (https://y.flurry.com/). We'll track so called in-app events as well (e.g. starting IveTime or pressing the IveTime button).

This is necessary since we are interested into optimizing the apps and creating a better user experience.

Regarding this anonymous events are sent to Flurry. It's possible to identify your type of device as well as regional and demographic data.

Please check Flurry's privacy policy here: http://www.flurry.com/privacy-policy.html

You can opt-out at every time using the following link:  http://www.flurry.com/user-opt-out.html. By doing so we are able to benchmark user behavior in general and thus we will optimize IveTime for you.

But please have in mind, this is done anonymously i.e. not related with your personal data.

Google Fabric/Crashlytics

We use Google Fabric /Crashlytics (https://get.fabric.io/) in order to pursue and solve crashes. Therefore the used type of your device as well as anonymous events are transferred to Fabric.

Further information about handling user data, can be found in the data protection declaration https://fabric.io/terms.

Foursquare

In order to suggest you a venue regarding a match, we calculate the distance between you and your match partner. This calculated coordinate is sent to the database foursquare (https://de.foursquare.com/) to request a suitable venue like stores or similar. This request has no direct connection to the users themselves.

Further information about handling user data, can be found in the data protection declaration https://foursquare.com/legal/privacy.

Facebook

If you decide to connect with Facebook within the (https://www.facebook.com/)  you are able to:

(2) import your friend list to our database.

Only Facebook friends who also using IveTime are imported into our database and used for further IveTime matches with you

Further information about handling user data, can be found in the data protection declaration https://www.facebook.com/legal/FB_Work_Privacy.

Google Maps

This site uses the Google Maps map service via an API. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

In order to show a suitable venue on a map, we generate a link using Google Maps (https://www.google.de/maps) . In this case Google Maps receives a coordinate that is not related with your user.

You are also able to send your coordinates to a match partner. Your match partner will then be able to visualize these coordinates on Google Maps.

To use Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer.

The use of Google Maps is in the interest of making our website appealing and to facilitate the location of places specified by us on the website. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.
